Dave Mullen is an Investor at SVB Capital where he is responsible for investing the platform’s direct investment vehicles. Prior to SVB Capital, Dave was an investor at Wells Fargo Strategic Capital, the principal investment arm of Wells Fargo where he focused on venture growth investments in the technology sector. Dave started his career with J.P. Morgan in the Leveraged Finance division of the Investment Bank where he was responsible for raising debt capital for both sponsor buyout and M&A transactions. Dave earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Economics, Analytic Finance, and Entrepreneurship and has a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia. Dave currently serves as a lead of the EVCA’s PropTech vertical, where he focuses on technology in the physical world around us, having invested extensively in the category including prior investments in Homebound, Proxy, Clutter, Industrious, Zibo, and Roofstock, while serving as an advisor to startups Chunker, Placemake.io, and MuvnDay.
Lukas combines top university education and 10+ years of international work experience – i.e. (Tech) Investment Banking; Finance; PE&VC funds investing; early-stage ventures analysis, and VC investing – with a critical understanding of how new technologies and business models could innovate. Additionally, he has solid experience in entrepreneurship, strategy, technology (esp. Blockchain, Fintech), and startups (business development, sourcing & fundraising, incubation).
Lukas has been active in the (Swiss) startup and VC ecosystem over the past decade and since several years he is focusing also on the blockchain space, including as an active investor in venture projects. He is working with, advising, and investing in Blockchain ventures on the ground in the Crypto Valley Labs Zug, Switzerland, at CVVC (formerly Lakeside Partners). Lukas helped to build up CVVC from the early beginning back in 2017/2018 where he is now Co-Head of Investments.
Christian Ferri is a limited partner in Protocol Ventures and advisors to companies such as Atari, Lottery.com and Sapien Network. He’s a guest lecturer at Cornell University and has keynoted at over 60 events, including the World Economic Forum, S&P Global Platts and the Blockchain Economic Forum.
He is also President and CEO of Geer™, part of BlockStar, which he founded. He’s a former Practice Lead at PwC where he advised Fortune 500 clients including Walmart, AT&T, HP on product innovation and process improvement. Since 2010, Mr. Ferri is a recognized expert on DLT and digital currencies.
Nic Carter is near-complete archive of recent (2017-20) content as it pertains to investing and cryptocurrency.He has undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of St Andrews, and an MSc Finance from the University of Edinburgh.
He is general partner at Castle Island Ventures. We invest in crypto-financial infrastructure and restoring property rights on the internet and and chairman of Coin Metrics.He believe in freedom, Lockean property rights, and free enterprise.
David leads Algorand's Business Solutions team who are focused on partnerships, solution architecture, investments, portfolio management, and building new blockchain based financial products.
Hardware Founder turned Software Product Manager, he has held a number of leadership positions managing strategic initiatives and partnerships in a diverse set of industries including oil & gas, renewable energy, cybersecurity and now blockchain.
David’s breadth of experience enables him to successfully help companies evaluate the potential business opportunities that blockchain technologies can unlock while building realistic plans to do so. Prior to leading Business Solutions at Algorand, David was a Product leader at Carbon Black (IPO 2017, VMWare Acquisition 2019).
