Tracy Chadwell, Founding Partner of 1843 Capital, has over 15 years experience in venture capital and private equity. She has 5 years of experience investing in early stage companies with a female founder through her personal entity Coyote Capital. Tracy was a Partner of a growth capital fund – Baker Capital which had more than $1 billion under management. Tracy has a broad network in the female founder community. She serves on the Board of Marstone, and Sachs Insights, she also proudly serves on the Advisory Boards of both the New York Institute of Technology and the MIT Enterprise Forum, is an Executive Advisor for the Echoing Green Foundation and a Mentor for the BIG Accelerator, Monarq and Techstars KC.
1843 Capital is an early stage venture capital fund that makes investments in companies with at least one female founder. Companies of interest (mostly tech and consumer products) must demonstrate a cohesive team, product - market fit and a clearly defined competitive advantage.
John Frankel is a technology investor. He is passionate about working with founders that are building the big businesses of tomorrow. He founded ff Venture Capital in 2008 to work with founders who share this vision, which has since funded over 100 seed and early-stage companies that have in turn created thousands of jobs and impacted the lives of millions.
While ff Venture Capital’s investments span a number of industries, John is particularly fascinated by applied artificial intelligence, encompassing drones, robotics, financial services technology and cyber security. Over the years, John has served on the boards of dozens of companies as well as the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, to help in further fostering the New York City ecosystem.
Prior to founding ffVC, John had a long career at Goldman Sachs in a variety of roles that involved technology development, business reengineering, and capital markets. He has had the unique opportunity to work closely with some of the world’s leading investors, and as a result has developed a keen understanding of emerging technologies and portfolio risk/return management.
After graduating from New College Oxford in 1982 with a Masters in Mathematics and Philosophy, John worked at Arthur Anderson and qualified as a Fellow Chartered Accountant. Today, John enjoys traveling the world and is blessed with five amazing children and six incredible grandchildren
Gyan joined RTP Ventures in early 2020 and became co-Managing Partner of RTP Seed, RTP Ventures’ fund dedicated to investing in seed and pre-seed stage companies, later in 2020.
Prior to joining RTP Seed, Gyan ran Bayes Ventures, an early stage fund with a similar focus. Prior to Bayes Ventures, Gyan was a Vice President at Activate Venture Partners (first investor in Medidata, a $6bb exit) and an active angel investor.
Gyan graduated from the MBA program at the Wharton School of Business. Before Wharton, Gyan worked for Gather Health, a chronic disease management startup, and Citigroup where he built and scaled businesses in foreign exchange derivatives, focusing on complex products.
Avantika Daing is Managing Director and Partner at Plum Alley Investments. Having scaled teams and businesses to billion+ dollar valuations and a successful IPO (NASDAQ), she has proven leadership in branding, marketing, product development, sales, business development, operations and executive management for both startup and Fortune 1000 companies. She is also a TedX Speaker and Co-Chair of the Angel Investing Committee at TiE New York.

William Podd is the Executive Director of Landmark Angels, President & CEO of Landmark Capital, a boutique advisory and consulting firm founded in 1993 and based in Greenwich, Connecticut, and President of the Landmark Family Office Alliance.
Bill completed more than $3 billion in financings as a corporate finance banker and lawyer at major law firms in NYC and at Lehman Brothers where he specialized in both municipal and corporate finance.
He also served as president of an early stage enterprise software company whose technology was developed at Draper Labs in Cambridge, Mass, in conjunction with MIT and NASA. Bill is a frequent speaker and panelist on family office, private equity and venture capital topics.
A Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of The University of Notre Dame, he received his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
