KiwiTech to Host Its Next Edition of LATAM Venture Fair
Medellín, Colombia

The venture fair will provide local entrepreneurs, investors, and accelerators a platform to connect and network to discuss the region's booming startup ecosystem.

KiwiTech, LLC, a startup ecosystem that helps early to growth-stage startups with technology, fundraising, and go-to-market support, announced its first-ever in-person Venture Fair in Medellin, Colombia, in a bid to build a platform for startups, investors, and accelerators in the LATAM region to network and explore potential opportunities.

Partnered with Ruta N, Alcaldía de Medellín, Morrison Foerster, Procolombia, iNNpulsa Colombia and Colcapital, the event will be part of KiwiTech's effort to expand in the Latin American region.

As a global frontrunner in building early to growth-stage startups, KiwiTech believes that driving new opportunities and developing interpersonal relationships between companies and investors can produce valuable results. This expansion in the Latin American region aims to foster a network that deepens the trust and faith in local entrepreneurs and their creations.

"At KiwiTech, we have always committed our forces to build an ecosystem that grows both upwards and sidewards. We celebrate innovations and empower them with opportunities that can help them outgrow any social, geographical, or economic barrier," said Rakesh Gupta, CEO, KiwiTech. "As an extension of our support to the Latin American region, we are pleased to host our next edition of LATAM Venture Fair in Medellin, Colombia."

The event will also include a panel discussion on Technology Investment in Colombia: Challenges and Opportunities, providing an honest and insightful peek into the roadblocks and advantages faced by the region's entrepreneurs & investors.

Some of the region's eminent personalities, including Cristian Raygoza, Founding Partner, Iluminar Ventures, Daniel Salvucci, Managing Partner, Draper Cygnus, Natalia Gonzalez Vela, Investor, Upload Ventures, and Paola Garcia Barreneche, Director, ColCapital, will share their thoughts on this topic.

"Recognizing an idea, empowering it, and then translating it into a successful startup is not merely a job for us; it is more of a passion-driven project that adds value to people and societies. We are only fueled by expanding our mission to a global level and hope to instill the same passion for entrepreneurship in them, despite any institutional barriers," remarked Mohsin Syed, President & Chief Startup Officer, KiwiTech.

"At KiwiTech, we believe that our strength as a startup ecosystem lies in our open network reflected through the free flow of advice and ideas – among employees and portfolio company founders. Nurturing the same values, we host this in-person event in the Latin American region at a grand stage to enable the transparency of startup ideas and roadblocks,” he added.

In January this year, KiwiTech hosted a virtual LATAM Venture Fair that had startups based in the region pitch their innovation in front of leading investors in attendance. The event's highlight was the panel discussion on ‘The Historic Unicorn Breakthrough in Latin America’ with several eminent personalities and thought leaders headlining the session.
